One person was killed and 16 others, including two women, were injured in a clash between two rival groups belonging to PML-N and PPP in village Lal Bux Jatoi near here on Wednesday.
Two groups of Jatoi community developed a dispute during recent PS-73 by-elections that caused the clash. An armed-men group attacked their rivals with arms killing Roshan Jatoi and injuring 16 others including Kiran, Zoya, Ayaz Jatoi, Habibullah Jatoi, Abdul Razak Jatoi, Abdur Rehman, Ali Sher, Mohammad Ali, Anwar Ali and Gulzar, Ali Nawaz, Mohammad Juman and Abbas Jatoi.
The Sehwan police rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to Taluka Hospital. The condition of four injured was stated to be serious. They were later shifted to a Hyderabad hospital for treatment.
Police have been deployed in the troubled village to control the situation. No case could be lodged till filing of this report.
