KP government bans interaction with foreign agencies

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government on Wednesday banned interaction of all government departments and institutions with foreign agencies and donors.

According to a press release, the Home and Tribal Affairs Department took notice of an increasing trend of interaction of attached departments with foreign and local donors without prior approval of the Home and Tribal Affairs Department.

Moreover, reports indicated that information regarding the activities performed by such departments had been shared without consent of Home Department and without taking into consideration sensitivity of the said data.

Therefore, the Home and Tribal Affairs Department told the provincial police officer, inspector general of prisons, director general of prosecution, Afghan refugees commissioner, civil defense director, reclamation and probation director, provincial public safety director and police complaints commission, Emergency Services Rescue 1122 director general and all officers working in the Home and Tribal Affairs Department to ensure that no data may be shared with foreign and local donor agencies without prior approval of the competent authority of Home and Tribal Affairs Department.
