Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan strongly condemned the blast in Ahmed Deen Brohi village near Jacobabad which took place on Wednesday resulting in the death of Shafiq Hussain Shah, grandson of Sain Hussain Shah, Pir of Qambar Sharif, and injured four others.

The blast took place near a rally of a religious party which was followed by protests on the streets as a result of which the city came to a standstill and businesses were closed down.

“The dangerous upsurge of sectarian and ethnic violence in recent months had turned into a full-blown conflict. Those responsible for deteriorating law and order situation in the country were ineligible to be in power as they have left the nation to the mercy of terrorism,” he said.

“Secessionist and religious groups, and a weak government response have combined to make the country one of the most dangerous place in the world,” he added.

He urged the nation should stand firm and united against these agents of terror and demanded the concerned authorities to immediately bring the culprits to justice.

“Terrorists have waged a war against the ideology and the very existence of the country and PTI demands the government to take all important measures to bring peace and stability in the country and to curb the menace of extremism and terrorism,” the PTI chairman said.

Imran Khan expressed his deep sorrow to the bereaved family and offered his condolences.
