CDA rolls up sleeves to undertake infrastructure development in three sectors

The new management of Capital Development Authority (CDA) decided on Wednesday to undertake infrastructure development work in three sectors.

It was decided that the funds for the uplift work would be generated through auctioning of commercial plots in the markaz of these sectors in March.

The decision was taken in a CDA board meeting which was presided over by CDA Chairman Syed Tahir Shahbaz.

It was decided that funds generated through the sale of commercial plots in each sector would be spent on development work in the same sector so as to ensure uninterrupted progress.

The task of the infrastructure development work in Sector I-12, E-12 and I-15 had been given to Engineering Member Sanaullah Aman and Estate Management Member Shaista Shohail.

CDA Estate Member Shaista Shohail said negotiations with the affected were underway and their lawful demands would be respected.

She said that in the first phase, service roads in sector E-12 would be constructed.

Sohail said construction work on the service roads in sector I-12 located alongside IJ Principal Road was to be started soon, and commercial plots in its markaz would be auctioned during the next month.

In sector I-12, those affected would be given residential plots.

“However, in sector E-12, they would be awarded developed plots,” she added.

Engineering Member Sanaullah Aman said infrastructure development work in Sector I-15 would be commenced soon, for which tenders would soon be invited from local construction firms.
