Hundreds of workers of the Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat (ASWJ) on Wednesday staged a sit-in at RCD highway Hub district Balochistan against arrests of 113 party activists in connection with Hazara attacks on Quetta.
The security agencies after the directives of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and Interior Minister Rehman Malik launched targeted operations across the country and arrested workers of ASWJ along with workers of other banned organizations.
Hundreds of the ASWJ workers led by Qadus Qadri and Jalil Qadri took to the streets on Wednesday morning and staged sit-in at the RCD highway causing severe traffic jam on both sides of the highway. The protesters said that they would continue the protest until the release of 113 workers.
