Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has criticised the decision to end the sit-in by Hazaras in Quetta despite the demands having not been met.

Addressing the MQM’s Rabta Committee simultaneously in Karachi and London, Altaf said several bereaved families had been disappointed with this step.

He said the “one-sided” move to end the sit-in was tantamount to hurting the Shias, adding that some elements were doing politics over the bodies of victims.

Altaf noted that the parliamentary committee sent to Quetta by the government to resolve the issues was an affront to the bereaved families of Quetta carnage that left 90 people dead.

He posed a question to the army and chiefs of intelligence agencies that when would the bloodshed of innocent youth, children, elders and women come to an end, adding that millions of rupees were spent on the law-enforcement agencies but the results were close to nil.

He urged scholars of all schools of thought to stand united instead of causing more rifts among the people.

  1. Look at this man's photo which has been picked by PakistanToday, By looking at the picture it appears as if he is one of the great leader on this planet earth. In reality he is a mischief monger and violence preacher through his coded language to his thugs in Karachi.
