MQM tables adjournment motion on Quetta massacre in senate

MQM lawmaker Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi on Tuesday moved an adjournment motion in the Senate to secure justice for the victims of Kirnai blast which has so far killed 91.

Tahir Hussain condemned the incident and expressed solidarity with the victims and their families. He said that “there is nothing sacred for the terrorists as they are attacking mosques‚ seminaries educational institutions‚ peace Jirgas and different communities all over the country”.

He called upon the government to adopt effective measures and draft counter terrorism strategies to eliminate the terrorism from the country and bring the culprits of the incident to justice.

Members of JUI had earlier staged walkout from the house to protest against the tragedy.
Other members including Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana‚ Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo‚ Haji Muhammad Adeel‚ Farhat Abbas‚ Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri‚ Ishaq Dar and Farhatullah Babar said that the parliament must design a strategy to tackle the issue.

Hussain demanded that Ministry of Interior‚ Defense and Law Ministry should brief the House on the incidents and measures taken by the government to eliminate such incidents.
