The Frontier Corps (FC) arrested Pakistan People’s Party leader and former minister Ali Madad Jattak along with his 15 gunmen in Quetta’s Hazargangi area on Tuesday.
According to reports, arms and ammunition were also seized from the guards of the former minister.
The reports said Jattak and his gunmen had been shifted to an undisclosed location.
Jattak is considered to be a close aide of former Balochistan chief minister Asalm Raisani and was a strong candidate for the position of chief minister of the province.
