Chandka Medical College Hospital Larkana Medical Superintendent Dr Insaf Magsiin a letter to the Sui Southern Gas Company Ltd on Monday complained that due constant low gas pressure in the 400-bedded teaching block of the hospital,diseases are brewing as the incinerator which burns all hospital waste is not operating.
The MS further stated that sui gas is also used in autoclaves which sterilizes instruments which are most important in managing and running of operation theaters. He said that non-functional incinerator and autoclaves are solely the fault of the gas distribution company.
He asked the administration to increase the gas pressure of the teaching block of the 1352-bedded teaching hospital which is the largest hospital of upper Sindh.
