Five killed in attack on political agent’s office in Peshawar

Fresh terrorist attack on Khyber agency political agent’s office in Peshawar has left five personnel of “Khasadar force” killed including an officer, as a result of firing and two bomb blasts.

Sources confirmed death of a terrorist also while seven persons were reportedly injured.

Khasadar personels told media that important meeting regarding preparation of ‘code of conduct’ for political parties in the forth-coming general elections was being held in the office of political agent when terrorists tried to enter in the building.

At the time of terrorist activity, leaders of ANP, PML-N, PML-Q, Muslim League Like-minded and other parties were present in the office of political agent.

It is pertinently mentioned that militants were in the uniform of Khasadar force, when stopped by the forces they started firing and killed four personnel including an officer, Misri Khan, while seven sustained sever injuries.

Exchange of firing continued while two blasts were also occurred in the building, Pak army and rescue teams accessed the place of incident and started operation.

Injured persons were shifted to Lady Reading hospital; Army cordoned off the area and started investigation.
