PTI saddened over demise of Bishop Lobo

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and all members of PTI on Monday expressed deep shock and grief over the sad demise of Bishop Anthony Theodore Lobo, the Roman Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Rawalpindi-Islamabad.

“Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf joins the Christians of Pakistan in this moment of grief and prays for the departed soul,” said Imran

Besides being an eminent religious scholar, Bishop Lobo was also an outstanding educationist. He served as a Principal in St Patricks School and established modern, state-of-the-art education institutions like St Michel’s Convent Karachi, Notre Dame College Karachi, St Mary’s Academy for Girls Lalazar, Rawalpindi, and most recently, St Mary’s College Rwalpindi, the first Roman Catholic post graduate professional college of Pakistan.

Amongst his students were some of the best and noted high achievers of

Pakistan. The government of Pakistan, in recognition of his services in the field of education, awarded him the Presidential Medal of Pride of Performance.

The end of a legacy a sad passing away of what was the potential of a new nation though my brief experience in St. Patrick's was bitter sweet as a young London boy of Pakistani parentage in my adult life I learnt to respect his lasting contribution to Pakistani that will be felt for generations to come a true example of the charity he will leave behind a hall mark of a decent pious man may ALLAH have mercy on his soul Ameen
