Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and all members of the PTI have expressed deep shock and grief over the sad demise of Bishop Anthony Theodore Lobo, the Roman Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Rawalpindi-Islamabad.

Imran Khan said that besides being an eminent Religious scholar, Bishop Lobo was also an outstanding educationist.

Lobo was serving as Principal St. Patricks School. He also established modern state of the art education institutions like St. Michel’s Convent Karachi, Notre Dame College Karachi, St. Mary’s Academy for Girls Lalazar, Rawalpindi, and most recently, St Mary’s College Rawalpindi, the first Roman Catholic Post Graduate Professional College of Pakistan. Amongst his students are some of the best and noted high achievers of Pakistan.

The government of Pakistan in recognition of his services in the field of education awarded him the Presidential Medal of Pride of Performance.

“Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf joins the Christians of Pakistan in this moment of grief and pray for the departed soul,” Imran Khan said.
