Sind Inspector General of Police (IGP) Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari has directed all officials concerned that to tighten security measures further in the wake of the recent act of terrorism in
Quetta.
A police statement released here on Monday said that the Sind IGP called for proactive policing while ordering the officials concerned to take strict action against criminals and absconders as well as the proclaimed offenders.
IGP Fayyaz directed all the police units to enhance coordination and exchange of information amongst themselves so as to effectively curb crimes.
He also instructed the district and divisional Superintendents of Police (SPs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) concerned to ensure that their presence was felt in their respective jurisdictions and to make sure that police conducted timely search operations.
The IGP directed additional deployment of police personnel at mosques, imambargahs, government and private buildings, important installations, public places, parking lots and other sensitive areas.
