Thick fog forced the closure of parts of the Motorway (M2) from Lahore to Sheikhupura Interchange late night till Monday morning.
According to details, dense foggy conditions made it virtually impossible for motorists to drive on any lane of M2 as visibility was zero after which the Motorway police closed the road.
Moreover, the traffic coming from Islamabad was diverted towards GT Road via Pindi Bhattian Interchange with strict instructions to drive in convoys.
The police strictly advised motorists to switch on fog-lights while driving, travel in convoys or avoid travelling if possible, as part of safety measures as long as the fog covered the area.
