Cold, dry weather with scattered rain likely in next 24 hours

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Monday forecast cold and dry weather for most parts of the country in the next 24 hours.

Scattered rain is expected in Quetta, Kalat and Makran divisions and in isolated areas in Sukkur, Larkana, Bahawalpur divisions, as well as in Gilgit-Baltistan in the next 24 hours.

According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave is affecting Northwestern parts of Balochistan and its adjoining areas and likely to affect in the next 24 hours.

Mainly cold and dry with partly cloudy conditions is expected in most parts of Punjab and Islamabad. However, light rain is expected in isolated places of Bahawalpur division.

Mainly cold and dry with partly cloudy conditions is expected in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, light rain with snowfall over the hills is expected in isolated places in upper parts of the province and DI Khan division.

In Sindh, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts. However, light rain is expected in isolated places of Sukkur and Larkana divisions in the next 24 hours.

Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of Balochistan. However, rain is expected in scattered areas of Quetta, Kalat and Makran divisions.

Mainly cold and dry with partly cloudy conditions is expected in most parts of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The lowest minimum temperatures recorded in the last 24 hours were Parachinar -8°C, Astore -5°C, Skardu and Gupis -4°C, Malam Jabba,Hunza and Kalam -3°C, Dir, Drosh and Murree -2°C.

The rainfall recorded in the last 24 hours was Balakot 3mm, Garidupatta 3mm, Murree 3mm, Sialkot 1mm.
