Custom officials seized and handed over 31 pythons, imported from the US, to the Karachi zoo administration here on Sunday.
Spokesman for the customs said, the reptiles were imported from the US for a private farmhouse in Thatta, however, these were seized by the custom officials for lack of documents.
The pythons were handed over to Zoo Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed. Later, the administrator handed over them to the zoo administration.
The spokesman said the reptiles would remain in the zoo till the completion of documentation.
