The Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan on Saturday returned the reply of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Admiral (r) Fasih Bokhari in the contempt of court case, raising objections on the content of the letter.
According to the SC registrar, the contents of the NAB chief’s statement were not related to the contempt case.
Raising objections on the reply, registrar of the court said derogatory words were used against judges.
Earlier, the NAB chairman’s lawyer Naveed Rasool Mirza submitted a three-page reply with the apex court in the contempt case, terming the bench hearing the case as “biased”.
Bokhari further demanded that the Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry quit the bench as his presence would raise questions on the proceedings of the court. The chairman said his case should be transferred to another bench.
