The opening day of the 60TH National Cycling Championship was completely washed out due to the heavy rain that lashed the city on Saturday.
The teams will be shifted to Kasur now to start the Road Race Events scheduled to be held today (Sunday) and on Monday Kasur-Gandasinghwala Border road race. After the completion of road events the teams will reach Lahore to take part in the track events.
The closing ceremony of the championship will be held on February 19 at 3.00 pm the Cycling Velodrome and Shaukat Javed, Former Inspector General Police Punjab and President Pakistan Federation Baseball will be the chief guest and give away the prizes to the winners.
