At least four persons were drowned after gushing water flooded an under construction underpass in Faisalabad late Friday night.
According to details, in Abdullah Pur area of Faisalabad, a portion of a main waterline running over an underpass suddenly burst and water started filling the belly of the structure.
Some passers-by got carried away with the water. Two of them were rescued in time, whereas four others remained unaccounted for.
Despite being informed the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) responded to the emergency hours late causing loss of three precious lives.
