The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Saturday returned the reply of Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Admiral (Retd) Fasih Bokhari in contempt of court case, raising objections on the content of the letter.
According to the SC registrar, the contents of the Chairman NAB’s statement were not related to the contempt case.
Raising objections on the reply, registrar of the court said that derogatory words were used against judges.
Earlier, the NAB chairman’s lawyer Naveed Rasool Mirza submitted a three-page reply in the apex court in the contempt case, terming the bench hearing his case as ‘biased’.
Bokhari further demanded Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to quit the bench as his presence would raise questions on the proceedings of the court. The chairman said that his case should be transferred to another bench.
