Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Punjab Assembly member Uzma Bokhari along with her husband Samiullah Bokhari has resigned from the party, citing differences over policy matters.

Talking to media on Friday, Uzma Bokhari said that there was no more place in the party for those who gave sacrifices and instead the party was paying attention towards all those who could benefit the party in the next elections.

“I have resigned from my party membership as well as from Punjab Assembly,” she added.

Although, the former PPP MPA did not mention which party she would be joining in the future but sources said that the MPA and her husband would likely join Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

  1. Another turn coat.
She must not be re elected. It does not matter from which ever party she joins.
These kind of turn coat must be defeated at the ballot box.
That will be the best revenge by the public.

  2. Good. She got riddance from PPP which has set unprecedented records of corruption and bad governance. Imagine those who are still clinging to PPP.

  3. Don't know anything about her, but it appears that leaches are moving on to continue what they do best.

  4. I have great regards for this women She has set a good example by her conduct inside and outside the assembly. she was a dedicated worker and exemplery PPp leader. she has nbeen defending PPP on talk shows. She must be appeased by the party leadership. We can not afford such a loss at election time. It is difficult to find educated women to serve the party. We must handle her appropriately by addressing her grievences. It is not her fault. Lot of other PPP workers feel left out. Let us make amends and adjusted all.
