Hong Kong native Eddie “The Magician” Ng is set to face Arnaud “The Game” Lepont at One FC: Kings & Champions on April 5th.
The One FC event will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium and is headlined by the Lightweight title fight between champion Kotetsu “No Face” Boku and challenger Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki.
It will also mark a return to Singapore for Lepont following his embarrassing defeat to Aoki at the main event of last October’s Rise of Kings, earning the Japanese a shot at the Lightweight belt against Boku.
Lepont is one of the more colourful characters on the One FC circuit and he had amped up his rivalry with Aoki prior to their encounter with pre-match antics which included posing with a custom designed book titled “Beating Aoki for Dummies”. The Frenchman lost the match at the Singapore Indoor Stadium after just 1:25 minutes of round 1 following a triangle choke submission by Aoki and he will be determined to make amends when he fights Ng at the same venue in two month’s time.
Ng is considered by One FC as one of the top MMA fighters to emerge from Hong Kong – a BJJ expert with excellent stand up skills. “One FC: Kings & Champions will be the biggest in One FC history and features the top names in Asian MMA,” One FC CEO Victor Cui said.
“Eddie Ng and Arnaud Lepont will be a slug fest that fans don’t want to miss. Both fighters are at the top of their game and have a lot to prove and they are well-known brawlers who have never backed down from a fight.” Kings & Champions will be broadcast live on Star Sports across Asia.
