Provincial Minister Mazoor Wassan on Friday said that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will not be part of any coalition but will sit on the opposition benches in the future.
Speaking to media outside Sindh Assembly, Wassan said that protest was a democratic right of the MQM.
The minister declined to comment on cases lodged against Lyari people by saying he was in Dubai when the cases were registered, while adding that Lyari was the stronghold of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP).
On the occasion, Provincial Minister for Local Government Agha Siraj Durrani said it was time for general elections and not for any local body polls.
“MQM is a coalition partner and its reservations will be redressed,” Durrani added.
