The United States (US) Mission in Pakistan and the Pakistan-US Alumni Network will sponsor an International Young Alumni Conference for youth from Pakistan, India and Afghanistan in April this year.
Organisers told APP here on Friday that the moot was expected to bring together approximately 475 young alumni of the US Government-sponsored exchange programmes.
This International Young Alumni Conference was believed to be the largest USG alumni conference in the world that would harness the energy of young leaders from the three countries between the ages of 20-29 years.
The main theme would be “The Faces of Change, the Changes We Face” that would be focused on social enterprise and how young people could bring about social change through civil society and the arts.
Intending participants, who should be alumni of the US Government-sponsored exchange programmes, have been advised to send their application by February 20th.
Applications should be sent electronically via email to the Alumni Coordinator for their respective regions.
Later, a panel would review all applications and successful candidates would be notified on March 1.
The moot was scheduled to be held from April 4th to 7th in Islamabad.
“We hope this conference inspires young alumni to make a bigger difference in their communities, create new regional networks for youth activists and train alumni in valuable digital skills needed to expand their ideas and projects,” said the organisers.
