Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Friday said that he is making efforts to bring back the main accused of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) corruption case for further prosecution.
Talking to reporters in the FIA Headquarters, Malik said Tauqir Sadiq got visa from Afghan Consulate in Peshawar on June 18 and reached Abu Dhabi via Kabul on January 21.
The interior minister said further the accused could not be deported from Abu Dhabi without justification, adding that Sadiq would be brought back after completion of legal formalities.
Furthering his statement, he said Khanani and Kalia scandal would be reviewed, adding that stern action would be taken against negligent officials. He said that the FIA was worthy of appreciation as it handled important cases skillfully.
