Election Commission of Pakistan on Friday regretted that certain NGOs were unnecessarily intervening in its working in various affairs.
In a statement‚ it clarified that the commission was an independent constitutional body well aware of its mandate.
The statement said the commission was taking all necessary steps to ensure that election was conducted honestly‚ justly‚ fairly and in accordance with law‚ and that corrupt practices are guarded against.
ECP noted that certain NGOs were unnecessarily intervening in various matters of the commission and expressed regret about the hindrance.
