The Ministry of Capital and Development (CAD) decided on Friday to constitute a separate directorate for the federal government (FG) and model colleges after merging the two.
CAD Minister Nazar Gondal also approved the formation of a separate directorate.
According to sources, 19 model colleges and 21 FG colleges would be merged and a directorate would be formed to regulate them while all schools would remain under the Federal Directorate of Education. A director general would head the directorate.
With the formation of the directorate, problems of the teachers would be resolved in a better way and in a shorter time. Moreover, the directorate would also monitor the performance of teachers.
