Tough contest between PPP, PML-N expected in Sehwan

The toughest contest between the candidates of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is expected in PS-73 Sehwan Sharif by-election to be held on 18 February, 2013.

Other political parties have also nominated their candidates for the by-poll, but the real contest will be between the ruling PPP and PML-N candidates. The PML-N has fielded Habibullah Rind for the by-election, who is supported by former Sindh chief minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi, while PPP candidate is supported by Sindh Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.

Lakha Ittehad’s candidate is Engineer Khalid Hussain Lakho, who has also launched a massive election campaign by taking out rallies and holding public meetings to muster people’s support. Other parties are also struggling for seeking votes. Sindh United Party (SUP) candidate Roshan Ali Buriro has also launched an election campagain.

  1. What a waste of governments money , Who ever wins, for what one or two months as assemblies are completing their term and care taker set up will be in place.
