Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority’s (OGRA) former Chairman Tauqeer Sadiq has been locked in the Abu Dhabi central jail.
According to sources, Sadiq had arrived in the UAE on a visa sponsored by the owner of a bakery. The owner has confirmed that Tauqeer Sadiq had come to the UAE on his sponsored visa, and later escaped. Source added that the owner’s statement will make it easier to drag Tauqeer Sadiq back to Pakistan.
Sadiq is wanted for causing a loss of Rs. 82 billion loss to the national exchequer.
What on earth prevents his deportation to Pakistan? All those who helped him rob this country and then his safe escape from the holy land must be brought to justice, if this country has to survive.
