Nawaz urges govt to take caretaker setup seriously

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mian Nawaz Sharif has said that his party has completed its homework over installation of a caretaker setup at the national level.

Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, Sharif said Tahirul Qadri’s approach is not correct, adding that Pakistan cannot afford any more ‘dramas.’ He said Qadri’s demands are unconstitutional, adding that Pakistan should be given an opportunity to become a civilized country.

“I have advised Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to workout issues of the caretaker setup,” he said.

The former two-time premier also urged the government to get serious about the caretaker government without wasting any time. The entire political leadership should evolve a consensus on the issue, he opined

To a question, Sharif said that his party would attend an all-party conference, to be hosted by the Awami National Party (ANP) on the issue of terrorism. Shahbaz Sharif, Chaudhry Nisar and Raja Zafarul Haq will represent the PML-N in the meeting, he told reporters. NNI
