At least five people of same family were gunned over unknown reasons here late Saturday night.
According to details, unidentified armed men barged into a house located in Lasorri Kalan locality of Mandi Bahauddin and shot dead five family members asleep in the house and fled the scene.
The deceased including Asia Bibi, her two daughters 17-year-old Sana, Hina, 15 and two sons 18-year-old Muzammal Hussain and Ali, 07.
The head of the family Iftikhar Ahmed is living abroad to earn livelihood for the family.
The bodies were shifted to hospital for medico-legal-requirements.
Police feared that the shooting incident could be outcome of personal enmity or resistance during robbery.
A case has been registered against unknown murderers and investigations have been kick started.
