The Supreme Court has accepted Tahirul Qadri’s petition for the reformation of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). The hearing of the case will be held on February 11 and the Supreme Court has issued notices to Qadri, the attorney general, the chief election commissioner and the federation. Qadri had filed a petition in the Supreme Court on February 7, according to which, the appointments made to the Election Commission of Pakistan were not in accordance with articles 213 and 218 of the constitution.
