Punjab Health Department on Saturday dismissed services of 55 doctors‚ including specialist doctors‚ who were found negligent of their duties and challenging the writ of the state by staging strikes under the banner of Young Doctors Association (YDA)
A spokesman of Health Department on condition of anonymity told Pakistan Today that cases of an additional 295 doctors were under consideration for termination notices. Meanwhile the young doctors are continuing their hunger strike outside Services Hospital in Lahore. A spokesman of Young Doctors Association Punjab said that hunger strike would continue till acceptance of their demands.
