Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that metro bus project is not only for Lahore but it was for the entire country and it would be inaugurated on February 10. He said that Punjab government had completed this high standard project through its own resources and assistance of Turkey. He expressed these views while presiding over a high-level meeting regarding metro bus project at Model Town. Members Assembly Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, Pervaiz Malik, Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Khawaja Imran Nazir and others were present on the occasion. Shahbaz said that metro bus project was transparent which had been constructed according to international standards. He said metro bus project had cost Rs 30 billion while paper project of underground transport system made by cronies of former dictator would have cost Rs 240b.

ya but he wouldn't run it in Karachi until he gets his vote from here so the whole khadime aala debate is rested. #PakFirstMetroBus also has started off rather hastily inlight of elections, keeping in view this hasty inaugural n first accident, where the bus struck a pillar on its route which damaged its left side leaves questionmarks on construction problem or alignment?i hope they meet the quality standards reqd for high speed transport systems, also LDA DG Ahad Khan Cheema Punjab Metro Bus Authority’s MD Sabtain Fazal Haleem should be held accountable for the first accident in lahore
