The Lahore Transport Company has drafted a plan for Metro Bus Service under which twenty six bus routes and eight van routes would act as feeder routes for the bus service.
To synchronise the already plying public transport in the city with the rapid bus service, many existing routes have been altered by the authorities. Moreover three of the existing public transport routes will be closed whereas eight new routes would be introduced.
LTC officials talking to sources said that all 34 feeder routes would charge regular fares and unlike MBS, would not be free for four weeks after inauguration.

LTC Chairman Khawaja Ahmad Hassaan said that details of feeder routes would be put up at each, adding that “these routes are currently mainly served by Qing Qi rickshaws. The LOVs will replace these rickshaws, which will still be able to cover the streets within neighbourhoods to take people to the feeder routes,”.
The LTC has predicts around 50,000 people to ply on MBS a day and the 48 buses of MBS amass a capacity to cater to 112,000 people a day
