Karate training camp concludes

The Pakistan Karate Federation organised a two-month long training camp which concluded here on Thursday at Crescent Model Higher Secondary School.
The camp was a part of talent hunt programme of PKF under which coaching and training camps are being organized in different schools and colleges across the country to tape new talent at grass root level.
Muhammad Jahangir (Black Belt 5 Dan) supervised the camp along with coach Fayyaz Feroze. More than 150 boys participated in the Camp in which the players were taught the basic techniques of Karate, Kihon, Kata and Kumite.
Karate competition was also conducted at the end of the training camp between different houses of school in which following players secured the positions:- Seniors, Waqar Hassan 8F Sir Syed House First,Muaaz Tanveer 8A Qasim House Second andHammad Afzal 8F Tipu House Third. Juniors, Abdul Rehman 7C Alamgir House First,Muhammad Mufasir 5G Jinnah House Second ,Afsar Rehman 5F Qasim House Third
PKF also conducted belt examination of the players participated in the coaching camp in which 2 player qualified for Brown Belt, 1 for Green Belt, 13 for Blue belt, 22 players for Orange belt, 13 players for Grey belt, 27 players for Pink belt and 75 players for Yellow belt.
Abdul Shakoor Principal, Crescent Model Higher Secondary School, Lahore awarded the certificates to the players. He also appreciated the efforts of PKF for promoting the game at early level.
