A dentist has been added to the medical board assigned with determining the age of Shahrukh Jatoi, key suspect in Shahzeb Khan murder case, a private TV channel reported.
According to the health department sources, Dr Shakir Ali was added to the medical team on recommendation of the chairman Dr Farhat Mirza that would submit its findings to the court.
Initial reports suggest Jatoi had 32 teeth including four wisdom teeth suggesting he was an adult.
On the other hand, media reported on Thursday that police had obtained the evidences, confirming Jatoi was an adult, from a private educational institute in Lahore.
According to the sources, the police collected the record of Shahrukh from the institute on orders of the Supreme Court.
The sources said that Shahrukh was admitted to Aitchison Centre when he was four years-old. The institute was directed to handover all the records related to Shahrukh to the police authorities.
It is pertinent to note that family members of Shahrukh had failed to present the birth certificate of the accused, saying that he was not born in a hospital but under the care of a midwife in their native village.
