A magistrate on Wednesday sent Norez Baloch, son of ruling Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) MNA Sher Muhamamd Baloch, to jail on 14-day judicial remand.
Per details, Norez was arrested for allegedly torturing a senior Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) officer on the airport late on Monday and for creating a scene at the Jinnah Terminal. Earlier, Nauroz had ended up beating the national flagship carrier’s reservation supervisor named Allah Dino Jatoi which had caused panic among PIA staff members at the airport, who closed down the reservation office in protest.
Police investigation officer said the accused was presented before the magistrate in Malir court on Wednesday which sent the youth to Landhi jail on a 14-day judicial remand.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf had flayed the manhandling of a PIA employee by the son of a sitting MNA.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, the PTI said the present populist “democratic” political government were intoxicated by power and had started defying the pre-requisites of democracy, the first and the foremost of which was adherence to the rule of law.
