SA passes Sindh Civil Services Amendment Bill 2013

Amid shouts and slogans, the Sindh Assembly (SA) passed the Sindh Civil Services Amendment Bill 2013.

Opposition members strongly opposed the bill and boycotted the assembly session after tearing the copies of the bill.

Four new Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) members, Jamaluddin, Nabeel Hidayat, Dr Arshad and Muhammad Ali Rashid, took oath during the session.

The bill was presented by the law minister Ayaz Soomro. The bill provides security to grade 17 and above officers.

The SA session was postponed till Friday.
