Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman has said that the PTI’s intra-party polls would be completed by March 15 and 80,000 elected office-bearers of the party would gather at Minar-e-Pakistan on March 23 to take oath.
The PTI chairman said that 23,000 women would also be elected as party’s office bearers. Imran said that “a positive change is taking place and the people from working class are being elected in PTI’s polls. Look at Humayon Chaha, a tailor, who has been elected district president of Kohat. Likewise, many office bearers have been elected from working class in PTI polls”.
Responding to a question, Imran Khan said that the PTI was consulting with all political forces which have no representation in the incumbent assemblies but no alliance had been made yet with any political force including the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT). He added that PTI would soon hold talks with the political leaders including Pir Pagara, Ayaz Latif Paleejo and leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI).
Imran Khan said that after PTI’s convention in Lahore, the party’s popularity graph climb. He made it clear that the criteria to award party tickets would be honesty and the only criteria for granting tickets would not be the fact the candidate are electables.
