Pakistan’s batsman Imran Farhat has left for South Africa to join the squad playing a test series against the hosts.
Imran believes it is not an easy task to play cricket in South Africa, adding, he will make all-out effort to win the matches for the country with good display of the game, PTV sports reported.
It should be mentioned here that the visitors lost the experienced test opener Taufiq Umar who got unfit because of a leg injury. Umar’s injury paved the way for Imran to join the squad.
The hosts gave Pakistan smashing defeat in the first Johannesburg test by 211 runs. The second match is scheduled to be played in Cape Town on February 14.
Good step by sending Imran Farhat to South Africa. He can stay on the wicket for a long time and runs will come itself. Hopefully, he strikes the form right away, so he can score freely and add some strength to the batting so it is stronger. With Imran in the team it will also help the openers to set the tone for the batsmen to follow. Imran and Hafeez can open and are capable to give a sound opening start so the team can score 350 runs in each inning. Good luck team and Imran for the next test.
