Turkey won a tender announced earlier by Naval Forces of Pakistan for construction of a warship, the Hurriyet newspaper reported.
Turkish company producing defense-related equipment Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik (STM) signed an agreement with the Defense Ministry of Pakistan.
Under the agreement, the warship will be constructed at a shipyard in Karachi, and all of the parts of the ship will be manufactured in Turkey.
It is reported that the agreement also covers training of ship personnel and its testing. Cost of the agreement and date of starting the construction of the ship has not been announced yet.
Pakistan has good government to government relationship with the countries like China, Turkey, Iran etc but one should be watchful of the corrupt individuals in these countries which have posed challenges in their respective countrified.
