Jattak enjoys support of 40 Baloch MPA, likely to replace Raisani

Pakistan People’s Party is having her eyes on Ali Madad Jattak, former Provincial Minister for Food, to replace Nawazb Aslam Raisani likely end of this month, as the pressure from her allies including Jamiat-e-ulema-Islam (Fazal) and Balochistan National Party (Awami) is mounting up. Jattak is enjoying support of 40 members of Balochistan Assembly to win the crown in Balochistan, Pakistan today has learnt through reliable sources.

At present Deputy PPP Parliamentary leader and former Federal Minister for Food Ali Madad Jattak is enjoying support of 40 members from the Balochistan Assembly that includes three members from Awami National Party, 12 members from Jamiat-e-ulema-Islam (Fazal), seven members of Balochistan National Party (Awami) and Pakistan Poeples Party’s 14 members from the disbanded provincial assembly.

Whereas the independent members from the assembly including Bakhtiyar Domki, Captain (Retd) Abdul Khaliq Achakzai, Shahnawaz Muri and Tariq Masori Bughti are also in support with Ali Madad Jattak. A source confirmed.

In the centre, Faryal Talpur the influential lady in Pakistan Poeples Party and senior PPP leader Syed Khurshid Shah are completely backing him up, giving him green signal to
upgrade his profile being coming Chief Minister of the province.

Meanwhile, senior PPP Balochistan President Mir Sadiq Umerani, who was also beilved to be in race of next Chief Minister, is proving major obstacle in the way of Ali Madad Jattak because of having strong grudges between them.

Recently, Sadiq Umerani had served a show cause notice to the Ali Madad Jattak for violating the party discipline and was against his appointment being the new Chief Minister of the Province.

Umerani, who himself was in the run for up-coming Chief Minister’s position in Balochistan was now out of the race as as certain cases were filed against him during the reign of General Ziaul Haq for working against the security of the country, following which he was unable to get clearance.

Meanwhile, Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam (Fazal) was also demanding the position for the Chief Minister in Balochistan, to which PPP appears to be unwilling.

Another Source also informed the scribe that Nawab Aslam Khan Raisani have formally resigned from his position being a Chief Minister and had sent his resignation to the
Maulana Mohammad Sherani and Ahsan Shah.

On the other hand the Baloch nationalists leadership, Hazara Democratic Party (HDP) and Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) has already warned the government to avoid
revocation of Governor’s rule from the province, as after its imposition a visible decrease in the incidents of killings were noticed after imposition of the governor rule and targeted operations were in progress against banned outfits and terrorist networks.
