Two brothers on Wednesday murdered their sister in Gulshan-e-Latif Sector IX of the city and termed the heinous crime as an honor killing.
Per details, accused Mukhtar and Maula Baksh were suspicious about the ‘character’ of their sister Zainab w/o Shahzad. They both were obsessed on advising their sister to mould herself according to their wishes; however, the sister has been reported to pay no heed to the words of her brothers.
The brothers alleged that they saw a ‘male stranger’ coming out of her house in the early hours of Wednesday, got furious and shot her sister to death. They both fled after the crime.
The deceased was married six years ago and was mother of a child. The police has registered a case against Zainab’s brothers and has is accumulating leads which could lead to their arrests.
