Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar will represent Pakistan at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit beginning in the Egyptian Capital Cairo on Wednesday. She will apprise the Summit about the plight of Muslims in occupied Kashmir and highlight Pakistan’s position on key issues of interest to the Muslim Ummah.
The Foreign Minister on the sidelines of the Summit will also co-chair OIC Contact Group meeting on Jammu and Kashmir with the OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu. AJK President Sardar Muhammad Yaqub Khan and representatives of Kashmiri people wiould also attend the meeting. A Memorandum containing proposals for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue will be presented to the OIC Secretary General.
Hina Rabbani Khar will also meet Egyptian leadership and high ranking officials of the OIC member states.
