Donor’s dinner held at FCC

At a dinner held on Forman Christian College’s campus on Friday, the Advancement Office of FCC honoured all those who had donated to the students’ financial aid fund during the last year. The annual event, hosted by the FCC Rector Dr James Tebbe, gave FC College the opportunity to thank those who had supported the students’ tuition scholarship campaign, making it possible for the economically deprived students to benefit from a quality education. The event was attended by current students, faculty and alumni. In the last fiscal year, 1, 943 students at FCC benefited from Rs 120 million under a merit and need-based financial aid programme. Current students, Amna Mahmood Rizvi and Danish Michael spoke about how the donors’ financial support had made it possible for them to study at FCC and had given them an opportunity that they could only have dreamed about. The rector thanked the donors for their deep commitment to FCC and pledged to continue working to make FCC the best university in Pakistan. On behalf of the donors, Former Formanite and CEO of En Pointe Technologies in the USA Aitzaz Munawwarud Din encouraged the audience to stay connected with the university, donate as much as their circumstances allowed, and to always give preference to Formanites over other students. He was joined on the stage by another donor, Tajammal Hussain Jafri. Also present at the occasion were the President of the Formanites Alumni Association Chaudhry Ahmad Saeed and former Chief Advancement Officer Dr Manzur Gill.
