No chances of PPP re-election: Shaikh Rashid

Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has claimed that sitting Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) can’t win upcoming general elections whether the polls were transparent or not.

Talking to journalists on Monday, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that PPP led coalition government during its five year tenure has tortured the masses mentally and financially and served as worst government of the country’s history.

He said that masses were fed up of so-called democratic government which gave them nothing except price hike, uncertainty of law and order, shortage of basic commodities, loadshedding, CNG and petrol shortage.

The AML leader feared bloodshed in the next polls and said that any dishonesty or attempt of rigging can derail the entire system.

However, he said that past few years’ crises have awakened the masses and they would think hundreds of times before casting vote in favour of any candidate. It was hoped that situation would grow better during next few years, he added.
