Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain will neither contact any leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) nor attend any of its meetings unless both the parties resolve outstanding matters, the MQM core committee has announced. The core committee’s meeting continued until late hours of Friday night. It was told in the meeting that President Asif Ali Zardari and MQM chief Altaf Hussain deliberated over all controversial issues and pledged to continue their efforts to resolve them. The committee further said that Interior Minister Rehman Malik had played a positive role in the talks, adding that certain elements adopted negative and provocative posture to undermine MQM-PPP alliance.
