Seven more die of measles in Sindh and Punjab

Government and health authorities have failed to overcome the unabated epidemic measles deaths which claimed another seven children’s lives in Sindh and Punjab.

According to Sindh health department two children hailing from Tando Adam Khan, one from Hyderabad and Thatta districts each died of the disease on Thursday.

During January deadly measles has claimed lives of 78 children in various districts of Sindh.

Earlier, three children died of the epidemics in Mayo and Children Hospitals of Lahore after which month long death toll in Punjab has climbed to 13. Six of the deceased belonged to Lahore.

Though health authorities, provincial and federal governments were making tall claims of taking solid steps to overcome the disease but people across Sindh and Punjab provinces are not satisfied with the safety measures against measles.
