PML-N wants transfer of top bureaucrats before polls

Apart from governors of all provinces, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has demanded transfer of 27 top bureaucrats before the next general elections.
A formal demand in this regard was put forth by opposition leader in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to make the upcoming elections transparent.
The PML-N has demanded transfer of home secretaries, inspectors general (IG) and chief secretaries in all the provinces. In addition, it has demanded that NADRA and PEMRA should be made to work under the supervision of the Election Commission of Pakistan.
The PML-N has also sought transfer of directors’ general of the Intelligence Bureau and Federal Investigation Agency, the federal interior and establishment secretaries.
Moreover, personal secretaries of the prime minister, all provincial governors and chief ministers should also be removed, it added. The PML-N has also demanded to change the country’s envoys in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom before the general elections. The PML-N is also seeking change in top leadership of the state-owned television and radio apart from transfer of the Islamabad IG and the Special Branch additional IG Special Branch and federal and provincial information secretaries.
